Staying in touch with the new owner
After the puppy has been with his new owner for a few
days, we usually get in touch to ask how the puppy settled into the new home and if
any questions or problems have arisen. Most of the time, the new owner contacts us
a few weeks later to let us know how the puppy is developing. If we do not live too
far away from each other we usually arrange visits.
To bring up a litter is very hard work for the dam and the breeder.
Every breeder who breeds dogs for a hobby and takes time with the puppies knows what
I am talking about. A lot of good friendships have developed. The many letters and
calls I continue to receive from happy owners give me the strength and inspiration
to raise future litters.
