and Team Barrett hiking tour 14th of August 2021
For the sixteenth time, House
and Team Barrett owners met for this year's hiking day.
We were of course very happy that around 34
participants had registered despite the last-minute invitation.
Then the participants were also lucky with
the weather, because, contrary to expectations, nice warm weather
was reported for August 14, which was not to be expected for
our summer 2021 due to the heavy rain and the low temperatures.
This year's hiking tour led us through a beautiful
forest area and mostly on easy-to-walk paths that could also
be tackled with a stroller. The first part of the tour was
about 9 km with short breaks to give the two and four-legged
friends water.
We arrived at our lunch break
at around 1 p.m. in a very idyllic forest restaurant. Of course
with a beer garden and very tasty food. The participants who,
due to their advanced age, could no longer take part in a hike
or the participants who just received their Barrett's puppy
in spring, joined us at this restaurant, since the puppies
are not allowed to walk such long distance at this young age.
We are already looking forward
to the next year, because by then these puppies will also have
reached the age to be able to walk a distance of approx. 15
to 18 km.
Shortly after 3 p.m. we set
off for the last 5 km long hike, which then led us back to
the starting point at around 5.30 p.m. In a beer garden located
there, we toasted this beautiful day with a cool drink before
saying goodbye, because some participants still had a car ride
home of several hundred kilometers.
With four participants, who did not have to
return home until the next day, Arthur and "Hundemama"
met that same evening around 8 p.m. at our famous Pizzeria
"Josef", where we ended this beautiful day with a
good pizza.
We would like to thank all
participants once again for the lively participation despite
the short notice of the hiking day.
Now we hope that our current
"COVID situation" will not turn for the worse in
the near future, so that we are able to plan a nice hiking
tour for late summer 2022 and by spring of 2022 we will be
able to announce the 2022 summer hike .
Then already in spring together with the announcement
we would like to give every participant the opportunity to
order t-shirts again.
As in previous years, Arthur had captured this
beautiful day with pictures. Some have already been published
on facebook thanks to our Jennifer. Of course, we don't want
to miss this year's hiking day with lots of beautiful pictures
here on our homepage .

that we will all meet again next year in excellent health.
