Last update in January 2013:

Sometimes life plays rough on us. Not only had we lost Grizzly a few weeks ago. Way too early we had to put our beloved Hera to sleep. She was a daughter of Cindy and Gustl. Our last update on Hera stated that we did take her out of our breeding program at the age of 5 years due to an immune sickness, she had developed after her last litter. She had lost quite a few pounds in a short time, so we took her to different Vet clinics, to specialists, to a famous University Clinic in Gießen, Germany. This all happened over a two year period time. Nobody was able to help her. Up till a few months ago she still loved to play and run besides a bike, but then had lost so many pounds, which made her very weak. She did get more weak. So one morning Hundemama had to go with her on that last journey. After struggling for two years, Hundemama knew that there was no more hope for her. She did not want her to suffer. Hundemam up till then had never lost a dog at such a young age. This had been very painful for her. She knew she had lost this baddle. She was not able to make this update until now.


We now lost Hera and we sure lost her way too early, but we are rich, we still have our other two dams out of Cindy and Gustl-line, Nora and Queeny. Both dogs are going on 11 years now. They had been fixed one year ago and now they are enjoying their retirement lifes with all other House-Barrett dogs.

Updated on June 16th, 2012: Almost two years ago we took Hera out of the breeding program. It took her some time to recover from having her last litter in 2010. She did become ill and had never really recovered.
